Douglas Herring Quoted in The New Jersey Law Journal on Curtailing Traffic Stops

In response to legislators curtailing traffic stops by implementing a bill that eliminates police stops for minor infractions, Princeton attorney, Douglas Herring said that “it’s worth it. There are no perfect solutions.” The goal of this bill is to reduce the loss of Black lives that have died as a result of stops for minor offenses. Herring states that this bill will solve more issues than the bill would create, as an inefficient municipal court is not the biggest problem our society has.
