Recently, Douglas Herring received advanced-level training on vehicle forensics in DUI investigations from the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys (AAPDA). This training allows him to use data for the benefit of his clients in accident cases where the clients left the scene before the police arrived and where there is a question as to whether the driver was distracted or impaired. As a skilled defense lawyer, he can use location data tracking, cell phone data and crash data to prove his clients were not guilty. Furthermore, he can argue that in accident cases where airbags were deployed, airbag deployment resulted in symptoms similar to alcohol intoxication and an adversely high breath test result.
Using data compiled by the AAPDA, members who have received advanced-level training learn what skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources and strategies win the most DUI cases at trial and get DUI cases successfully resolved for the defense prior to trial.
With this training from the AAPDA, Douglas Herring uses and has access to these tools and resources, which are available to only a small percentage of DUI lawyers.
