Volunteering with an Ambulance During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Free Case Evaluation

Douglas Herring a local New Jersey criminal defense attorney switched the suit and tie to a protective suit while volunteering with New Jersey Montgomery Emergency Medical Services (MEMS), the local ambulance company.

Douglas Herring which is usually found defending the rights of local New Jersey citizens joined the front lines to support the fight against COVID-19.

Douglas said: “…Many ambulances are volunteer or a combination of volunteer and paid personnel. Of the 260 New Jersey EMS Squads with volunteer members, Montgomery Emergency Medical Services was named the 2019 VOLUNTEER SQUAD OF THE YEAR!  This squad is unusual in that it is 100% volunteer and covers the calls 24/7 for 365 days…”

Douglas Herring had previously been the captain of the ambulance company and started volunteering driving the ambulance.  With the present COVID-19 pandemic, the New Jersey Department of Health issued me an emergency recertification to Douglas Herring and he has been on the COVID-19 calls to continually serve his local community in these difficult times.
