NJ Supreme Court Issues a Stay On All Alcotest 9510 Prosecutions

Free Case Evaluation

Yesterday, the NJ Supreme Court stayed all Alcotest 9510 prosecutions and appointed a Special Master to make factual findings and recommendations as to the reliability of the newly-deployed breath test device.

The device was initially intended to replace the Alcotest 7110 in DWI cases due to the manufacturer’s discontinuation of the 7110 device, however, all the DWI cases based on evidence obtained with the new machine are, for now, on pause.

If you have any questions about this development and how it may impact your case, or if you’ve recently been charged with a DWI in New Jersey and need a seasoned attorney in your corner, simply contact the Law Office of Douglas Herring today.
